Light 2

Burglars and thieves prefer to work at night when they think they cannot be seen. Many people believe that God does not see them. How foolish.

Psalms 10:11: He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it.

Job 22:13 And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?

Isaiah 29:15: Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?

God sees them. Do you remember when you were a child and it seemed like your mother had eyes in the back of her head? God sees more than your mother did. God sees all.

Psalms 139:12: Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

2 Chronicles 16:9a: For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. . . .

Hebrews 4:13: Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

It is an incredible thing that people actually try to fool God. The fact that He knows everything and sees everything is a problem for them.

Ecclesiastes 2:14: The wise man*s eyes are in his head; but the fool walketh in darkness: and I myself perceived also that one event happeneth to them all.

Isaiah 50:10: Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God.

John 12:35: Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

1 John 2:11: But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

When people try to fool God they are only fooling themselves. He says: All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. They say I haven*t done anything bad. He says the wages of sin is death. They say MY sin doesn*t deserve death. Jesus says I am the way the truth and the life, no man cometh to the father but by me. They say I*ll find another way. They say I*ll get to heaven because I have sinned less than other people. He says: For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

When people reject the light they end up in darkness forever. Darkness is first a choice and then it is a judgment. The Bible says that men who reject Christ will be thrown into the lake of fire. Somehow the fires of hell will be a place of darkness as well as fire. I don*t understand how that can be but I believe the Bible when it says so. Perhaps that darkness will simply be the absence of spiritual light.

2 Peter 2:17: These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

Jude 1:13: Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

Unbelievers have a reservation in darkness. Believers have a reservation in a place of light.

John 14:2-3: In my Father*s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
